Mali: Project Manager/Water Engineer at Rotary International

A USA based very well established and world recognized NGO is seeking an experienced water (WASH) engineer to develop multiple rural water projects In Mali, West Africa. Work will be concentrated in areas around Bamako the capital and Sikasso the second largest city in the country and in many small villages. 

Description: Working as part of a multi-faceted development Water/Sanitation/ Hygiene (WASH) team, the engineer will be responsible for designing small water systems such as drilling bore holes, designing, constructing water towers to serve 20,000 utilizing bore holes, solar pumps and gravity feed mechanisms: examining, repairing, rehabilitating 40/50 bore holes with India Mk 2 hand pumps, drilling approximately 60 bore holes, designing small earth dams for agricultural purposes etc. 

All labor will be contracted out and the Project Manager will prepare, review and accept appropriate bids from local companies.
