The Iraq Mine and UXO Clearance Organisation (IMCO) is a neutral and impartial NGO that clears landmines, other explosive remnants of war for the benefit of communities and people in Iraq. For more than 10 years IMCO has removed millions of explosive remnants of conflict to make land safe for people in Iraq to return to safe and productive lives.

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced security manager to join IMCO as Director Security Officer. Working to the Chief Operating Officer you will be part of the senior management team supporting the next stage of IMCO’s development. The IMCO Director Security provides centralized security support to the Iraq Mine/UXO Clearance Organization, functions as the organization’s Senior Security Official, formulates security policy, and supervises, directs, and controls all security activities, related to IMCO.

The position will gather, analyse, interpret and cross-reference security related information in order to provide informed, objective recommendations to enable the IMCO Senior Management Team to reduce risk, manage security and protect all IMCO staff, facilities, equipment and working locations effectively.
