Social Scientist (English and French)
The Social Scientist will lead fieldwork in social impact assessment, social baseline studies, community consultation, participatory planning, and capacity building with communities impacted by resource extraction. Candidates must have at least five years’ experience leading multi-sectoral stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, consultation, sustainable development and reporting involving mining or other extractives’ projects, disasters or international displacement, and hold a Graduate Degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Community Development, Social/Human Geography, International Development or other related discipline.
Based in Toronto or at project sites internationally, incumbents will travel frequently and may live and work in rural and remote areas for extended periods of time.
