United Kingdom: Campaigner - Conflict Resources

Aug 28, 2014 | Global Witness

Global Witness is an international NGO that exposes the corrupt exploitation of natural resources and international trade systems, to drive campaigns that end impunity, resource-linked conflict, and human rights and environmental abuses. Our success is built through detailed on-the-ground investigations and uncompromising advocacy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campaigner to join our Conflict Resources team, to expose and break the links between natural resource exploitation and conflict. This will involve undertaking advocacy aimed at ending the trade in conflict resources, writing investigative reports, contribute to development of campaign strategies and messages relating to conflict resources, particularly conflict minerals, lobbying governments and carrying out field investigations.

Applicants must have a demonstrable record of lobbying governments, experience of undertaking field investigations in developing countries, excellent written and communication skills and fluency in English and French. Direct experience of working in Central Africa would be highly advantageous.
