The SIRP Partnership implement a range of activities in 90 targeted villages across the three states to achieve the following specific objective: “Conflict affected uprooted people of Mon and Kayin State and Tanintharyi Region, during a fragile ceasefire/peace negotiation phase In the area of operation, have improved access to education, primary health care, water and sanitation facilities, and to safe and sustainable livelihood strategies”.

Based on participatory planning processes, the communities define their priority needs and match these to State development priorities. Partners then flexibly respond with a range of relevant services and products to attain sustainable positive change in the lives of the target beneficiaries. The incumbent will work in cooperation with Action Aid Myanmar (AAM) SIRP team and with consortium partners for effective and successful implementation of livelihood activities in target project communities;


• She/he will synthesize livelihoods data and information from Village Books to draft a brief livelihoods (baseline) report per project area, to inform livelihoods/vocational training decisions;
• She/he will lead the compilation of a market survey per project area;
She/he will ensure that livelihood activities implemented under SIRP Project do no harm to community cohesion and she/he will identify potential contentious issues early to ensure appropriate measures are taken to mitigate risks.
