Specialists Required - Peacebuilding Sector

Alert is requesting ‘Expression of Interests’ from qualified and experienced specialists available for short and long term assignments.

International Alert is expanding its talent pool to meet the demand of a number of exciting new projects.

In particular, we are looking for people with the following areas of expertise:

  • Stabilisation experience including military, justice and security sector reform
  • Climate change and environment, and experience linking this to peacebuilding
  • Advanced research techniques with experience of leading field based research including conducting country or thematic peace and conflict analyses
  • Evaluation experience including strategic evaluation, theory based evaluations, contribution analysis and mixed methods evaluation
  • Designing and implementing tailored short-term peacebuilding courses
  • Integrating gender into peacebuilding research and implementation
  • Peace and Economy experience including private sector approaches to peacebuilding (including oil and natural resource management sectors)

Educated to post-graduate degree level (in a relevant subject), you will have significant experience in your specialised sector. You will have proven experience working as an independent consultant with the ability to deliver high quality results within agreed timeframes.  Fluency in English is essential.  Fluency in one or more of the following languages is an added advantage – Arabic, French and Russian.
