Afghanistan is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to climate change, according to the United Nations (UN). The country is facing immense challenges due to an ongoing economic crisis, high unemployment and a series of recent disasters.In the drought-stricken western province of Badghis, the situation is especially dire. Severe agricultural losses have pushed families to abandon their homes and seek survival elsewhere. As the impacts of the climate crisis escalate, the country remains critically unprepared to respond.
