Deep in the forests of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), rangers tasked with guarding some of Africa’s most biologically diverse landscapes are facing an escalating crisis. Ongoing conflict, particularly around Virunga, Kahuzi-Biega and Maiko national parks, has made their already perilous work even more dangerous.
